Aseprite v1.3.18 Jul 22, 2026

Hi Asepriters! Today we’re releasing Aseprite v1.3.18 as the new stable version! It includes several bug and crash fixes and new features introduced since v1.3.18-beta1. You can download it from https://www.aseprite.org/user/ using your account (or creating a new one).

What’s new in Aseprite v1.3.18.2

  • Fixed crash changing keyboard focus in Edit > Preferences #5946
  • Lua API:
    • Update API version to 41
    • New Dialog:samerow{} function (thanks to @lampysprites
    • Added save/beforesave sprite events #5115 (thanks to @MapleGecko)
    • Prevent uninitialized params in app.command.MoveMask/Scroll

Aseprite v1.3.18.1

  • Fixed exporting GIF files with correct header (89a) when they are animated #4746 (thanks to @s0ph0s-dog)
  • Fixed crash switching between sprites when the mouse is on a timeline tag #5941
